Default Mounting a winch on an 05 King Quad

I just got an 05 KQ and 69$ Warn winch. The instructions in the box are for Eiger and Vinson only. Does anyone have a pdf copy of the KQ instructions?

I can not remeber for sure but I do not believe the yellow/blue wires to the winch were included with the winch since the Eiger and Vison have them on stock. I can not find these wires on my KQ, are they hidden and on there already or do I need a different winch kit with the yellow and blue wires--hence why I need the instrucrtions.

Thanks
Bryce

The KingQuad is not pre-wired. The wires should have, however, came with your winch. Believe me, though it may not be wired from the factory, it's worlds easier than most of the other manufacturers. Hat's off to Suzuki on this one.

Thanks--I now have the correct winch that matches the part number on Suzuki's website and has the yellow/blue wires included.

The new winch switch has no connector on the red wire and electrical tape where the red wire comes out of the sheath. I called Warn and they said this was normal--is yours like this? If the King Quad is "Pre Wired" did you just add your own connector to the red wire?

I have winch part number 99000-990YW-012

Thanks

That is how it comes. I just put a bullet connector on the end and plugged it into the ignition hot wire I found under the front end.

Yes, suzuki did a great job by putting in a sleave for running the winch wires. Couldn't be any easier. I mounted my warn winch in no time at all

I got everything mounted a few days ago and it works great. I took my time running wires, adding loom, etc for a very clean look.

There were two foam rubber strips included with the Suzuki winch mount. Where do these go? No mention of them in the instructions.

Default Mounting a winch on an 05 King Quad

I just purchased a 2005 Suziki 400 Automatic Eiger, and have a nice winch to add, which I have mounted. However I could tell from the way that the winch power leads were attached without insulation, that the leads could not be "hot". Can you tell me where the connection, fuse, etc is located to light up the factory installed power leads for the winch? I looked in the manual and it refers you to the dealer, who says "bring it in and we can look it over (I am guessing that is a $50 or more deal).

Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Chuck
