Default Suzuki LT185 ATV, missing fuel overflow line

Hi, I recently acquired a 1986 LT185 and its missing a fuel line that looks like the overflow line from the bottom of the carb. Running without this line is spewing fuel on the engine. The book I have doesn't show a good picture of where the fuel line ran to. Does anyone know, did it just overflow to the ground or was there a connection back to the fuel tank? I don't want to cause a fire or waste fuel. Thanks for your time.

Dave

Fuel overflows usually go to the ground. A tube would hook to the carb then run back behind the engine and down to justbelow the frame. Make sure your float is set right if you are loosing alot of fuel.
