Default Another pipe ? quiet/power z400

It looks like the HMF would be the best pipe, but from what I hear it's really loud. I don't want a loud pipe as I don't want to **** off land owners or other people using our trails. Loud pipes are a good way to get our riding areas shut down. I was thinking of the yosh, but the dyno chart on that one is up and down. I want something consistently smooth throughout the powerband, adds good power, and is quiet enough for the trails. What is the best pipe with these criteria? I would really like to hear from some other z owners who have pipes and see what they think of theirs.

I have heard the FMF Q has descent power gains and is pretty quiet. Sorry tho, I have no experience with that particular pipe.

Now I dont have a z but I do have an eiger. The pipe isnt that loud. A FMF Megamax is louder than my FMF pipe. It is far from being quiet but it's not loud enough **** off people. Its up to you though I would go HMF! You will probly get the most power gains from it.

No they make it for everything they make sport series for. It has an integral quiet core. You can't change it or take it out. It's supposed to be quieter than the sport series by 2db. It doesn't require rejetting though which tells me that it doesn't substaintially increase air flow therefor no substaintial increase in hp. If anybody has had, or has this pipe please tell me how you feel about it.

I just put a QS1 on my 05 vinson along with a uni air filter and I can tell a difference in the way it accelerates and it breaths better. I do not have any specs to share but I like it and it was worth $275 shipped from ebay. If nothing else it sounds better than the stock. I cannot even guess on the horsepower but it clearly runs better.
