weird vibration LT500r please help
Ok with the clutch cover off. The gear that is mounted to the counter balancer will have a punch mark just at the bottom of the teeth. You need to look close it is just a simple punch mark. Then look at the crank shaft there is a left handed nut then a washer then a gear that drives the clutch basket. There are no marks on that gear the next gear drives the counter balancer this gear has a punch mark just at the base of the teeth. Again its just a simple punch mark. these two punch marks must line up. Also there is a punch mark on the crank shaft but the gears must be removed to see it. You will be able to remove the nut with the rope trick we talked about earlier. The gears may slide forward enough to see the mark without removing the clutch basket. I never tried, if not you will need to remove the clutch basket. You can use an old clutch plate and a friction plate by drilling a hole through them and run a screw through to stop the clutch from turning you then can remove the clutch basket nut. If you really get stuck send me a private message with your number and I will talk you through it.
