PLEASE HELP I BOUGHT A 1990 LT500 QUADZILLA A WEEK AGO. I BELIEVE ITS ALL STOCK HOW CAN I GO FASTER. IT HAS A FMF FATTY PIPE W/ SILENCER ,ALSO WILL A NEW POWERBAND INCREASE SPEED ? PLEASE HELP.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Will a new powerband increase power? Omg.. A powerband is the name for when the engine snaps into its, power - band.. cant explaain it but its not a tangelble iteam!

 

get rid of that FMF and get just about any other exaust, remove your airbox lid, replace your airfilter with a nice aftermarket one and REJET so you dont melt your stuff down. DG, Paul Turner, LRD, Bills, Trinity, all acceptable aftermarket pipes. I liked my DG id reccomend the Paul Turner for all around performance.

Alright Charlie, sorry to flame on you. If you just want to go faster, buy a bigger front sprocket or smaller rear sprocket. This will gear your bike up. If you want more power, get a better pipe and consider having your cylinder ported.

 

Try a set of reeds also, boyesen would be a good choice. I like my dg pipe and it sounds goos too. How do you like the zilla? They are some animal.

 

u should pick up some pink powerbands, they work the best, take my advise i own one.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
