Default Advice on 02 Eiger 4x4 Automatic

Just bought a 2002 Eiger 4x4 Automatic 400.

Is there anything I should look out for?
Never owned a Suzuki anything.
It seems most brands and models have their own little quirks so I'd thought check.

Thanks,
Ekyle

Yeah, there are a couple of things to look out for that i know of! Look out for its bigger brother, i hear that suzukis are canibals and the king quad will eat the eiger alive! J/k I'm not sure of any quirks on the eiger but i hear they are excellent machines! Good luck and ride safe!!

i'd change the oil and filter right away and also clean the airfilter if it needs it...other then that it's ready to go....all Eigers need is a little bit of regular maintenince and they'll keep running

Default Advice on 02 Eiger 4x4 Automatic

I just bought an 05 Eiger auto, my 1st quad and noticed that the range selector is tough to move from time to time. So, I don't force it,,,, just sort of play with it etc. The selector **** has a button that when pushed in is supposed to make shifting from High to low to Neutral and Reverse happen. Real nice quad though.

Anyway, it doesn't happen all the time but I was wondering if anyone out there has any ideas. Is this just because its new? Right now I'am just breaking it in and don't even have an hour on it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks rolsmojave3. That might have been the cuplrit. I was using the choke since it was cold and I just started up. I've run it several times today and it was OK. Have a good evening.

Default Advice on 02 Eiger 4x4 Automatic

I purchased the '05 Manual tranny Eiger 4x4. I read a lot of articles and comparo's, did a lot of research on the Eiger and found it was always rated highly. I decided to go for it. I'm fully happy with the machine. I don't think I've had or ridden an ATV I like more. Mine is still pretty new, but its exceeded my expectations. As far as everything I came across while researching, and from experience, there aren't any issues with these machines. As with anything keep up on maintenance...

I say excellent choice on the Eiger and enjoy the ride

Inline fuel filter. Jetted pretty lean so at least up the main jet if not install a jet kit which will also provide better midrange with the different needle jet. Other than that ENJOY!

Did you add a in-line fuel filter? I've read some reports that talked about the need for that. Sure seems like a solid quad.
