need better lights on 06' Eiger
#1
The factory lights seem to shine too low & are not very powerfull. What are some good aux lights that will realy light up the nite? The Warn lights on my buddies quad seem like more of a flood type beam. I want something that throw a good bright beam down the trail. For some reason there are very few aux lights made for quads, not sure why. I don't want to hinder the front rack, so possibly mount them on handle bars? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,

Muddygirl. the 06' is exact same as an 05' as far as I know. May be some cosmetic changes, but for the most part they are same. The front bumber, fender & headlights have changed from the 04' & earlier models. This machine has been a blast. I've been on some steep rough trails & many creek crossings, so far, so good. I was surprised how quick this quad is compared to some other sport/utiliy machines I've rode. In 2 wheel drive mode its prety sporty. I put a ball hitch & pull a 20 cubic feet cart loaded with all the firewood I can stuff in it. The Eiger has handled that with ease up & down these WV mountains. I had an older 93 model King-Quad 299cc that was stolen from our farm last year. It lived a rough life, but still ran fine. It was so dependable, I stuck with Suzuki again. Only have 120 miles on machine, but I'm a happy camper. I have an 02' Yamaha warrior that I like for sport riding. This one was bought for the utility function more than anything else. Hauling wood, hunting, snow plowing, etc.

no sorry. I have a digital camera but haven't even snapped a pic of bike yet. It is the all black Eiger. Looks sharp when clean, but black doesn't stay clean long. Only thing I've added is a Warn 2.5 winch & the front aluminum shroud/skid plate. The factory plastic skid didn't impress me, so I added the aluminum. If I get a chance I'll take some pics & post them on my website. All I have on there now are mostly hunting/fishing & firearm pics, my other passion

Look for some PIA bulbs at your ATV shop, I put some in my 04 Eiger and they made a significant difference, when I sold it I swapped 'em out for the stockers in my KQ. They are about 40% brighter and draw no extra juice and cost about $30 each, well worth the $

Muddygirl, no the wheels are the grey steel type, same as all the Eigers. I guess they could be painted if one so desired & that would look prety good. I see Suzuki now has an aniversary edition Eiger that is black with winch, bumper & front shroud. Apparantly they have sold 100,000 Eigers.
nightw50, Thanks! I'll look for the PIAA bulbs. Wow $30 a pop, but if they make that big of a difference & draw no more, they would be well worth it. Is there a cross reference for PIAA replacement bulbs to buy online somewhere? That would be handy. Current Eiger bulbs are rated for 30watts.
