Default New Bike

Hey I just got a new z400 and finished breaking it in this weekend. I was wondering if it is bad to hold it pinned in wide open areas and roads and stuff if it isnt hitting the rev limiter. My friend has a Z as well and he pins it every where but it doesnt hit the rev limiter so it doesnt seem bad. Is this going to shorten the life of my top end or will it not have a big affect. It just feels like it vibrates a little and the RPM's get very high so I wanted to make sure. Thanks, Dan

The 400 is a reliable motor that can handle a little abuse. Running at WOT for extended time will cause any engine to crumble eventually though. Short bursts should be no prob if you keep up on your maintenance.
