every tooth you go down will lower youtr top speed and give you more acceleration/power.
every tooth up you go will give you more top speed but you will loose power and acceleration.
^^ is that the answer you were wanting?
because if you were asking HOW do you change the gears, its real easy, just take off the chain and undo a pin of two small bolts and slide off the old sproket and put on the new one.

Remove the chainguard and casesaver (if you have one). Loosen the chain. You should have either 2 bolts with a splined washer or 1 bolt in center of sprocket. If you have just one, take it out and remove sprocket. If you have the 2, remove both and rotate the washer until splines line up and you can pull it off. Now you can remove sprocket. Install new sprocket, adjust and lube chain and you're done.

it doesn't matter if you have a chain, you still just have to do what sparky said except dont remove the chain (since you dont have one it the first place)
