Don't try this at home!

Well I flipped my king end over end today on a very steep hill I was climbing. Almost to the top and I got stuck on a big rock. I put it in reverse to back off it and then I was ready to try again. I hammered on the throttle leaning way forward for the steep hill and holly s$$t I forgot to put it into to low gear. Backward I went off balance I locked up the break as it went side ways and started to go over. I just looked back behind me and bailed off doing a couple of back flips myself and then watching my king go end over end landing on it's side. Other than a sore tail bone and a huge ego buster I was able to flip it back upright , get turned around and make it to the top where my bro was waiting for me.
Well the front rack was bent down on both sides and the handle bars were bent down a little too. We through the winch cable around a tree, hooked it to the front rack and got it straightend back out. Good as new.
So, moral of this story. BE SAFE!

Ouch. Yeah, I'm thinking the racks, or at least the front rack, is kind of weak. I bent mine when I layed it over trying to do a donut......A DONUT! I guess there was a decent amount of force behind it, but man I just don't know if the old Rubi would have come away with a single scratch from the ordeal.

Never mind the tree. What about the ruts you created that will eventually erode into another grand canyon. And all the wildlife that will be seperated from the herd when the chasm becomes too deep to cross. Around here the quadders have made trails that the wildlife all follow which makes them easier targets for the dreaded hunters. These deer now have it so easy that they wont make their own paths in the forrest any longer and if they cant find a trail they just walk on the raod. Thats why there are so many deer hit by cars. I'm sure you had on a helmet because the deer could become ill if they come in contact with contaminated blood. did you replace any divots which were created when yer quad flipped over? Did any gas leak out which will pollute the water the rest of us will drink?

And whats wrong with hopping over ferns and hugging trees?

One of my favorite things to do in run over trees and power break over large ferns until there is a gigantic hole in the earth. Then I change my oil in the hole. But, then again I came from a small logging town where there wasn't alot to do any way.

Good story. Glad to hear you're okay.

I almost rolled my 250 doing a donut the other day (in a gravel driveway, so I don't think I was disrupting nature...don't get on me.) One of the back tires caught the grass along the gravel and sent me tumbling over the handlebars. I did a couple summersaults and turned to see my quad on two wheels, then coming back down onto all 4. I jumped back up and took off before anyone riding with me noticed.
