Default Whats different in the new Z's?

I know they made some changes too the Z's this year. What did they all do to the motor? The reason I ask ,is my friend got a new one after wrecking his old one. I used too beat him all the time in dragging and stuff with my raptor. We were out last weekend with his new Z. We didnt do any dragging ,just woods riding. When I was following him, on long straight aways, I could not catch that thing. I would stay even or he would pull away a little, even all the way into 5th gear. He is all stock with a slip on pipe. So far im impressed.

Can't remember all the particulars, but I think it got a new larger carb that has a TPS and maybe a cam (?). Some goodies to lighten it up a little (magnesium valve cover), and improved suspension (better suspension makes you go faster too!).

The Z has a sweet little engine, that doesn't get nearly enough respect!

Well that little engine has my respect. We are gonna do some riding this weekend. I'll see what the Z can do some more this weekend. So far it seems like a awesome machine.
