I got some ??? on my Vinson. I am thinking of doing some mods and I want some opinions. I want a pipe but not to loud and thinking of a jett kit. I am alos going to improve air flow so lets here some ideas on settup.

 

contact HMF engineering...they have some good pipes, but they are kinda loud and have a bark to them...also yoshimura makes an exhaust for the Vinson, I would get ahold of them two companies

 

I was going with HMF. What I was needing to know the most was it worth getting the jett kit or just add the right main and pilot.

 

the jet kit comes with a tapered needle and instructions...so it will be worth it if your new to jetting

 

I would go with the jet kit. As RM stated, it comes w/ the needle, etc. We put a HMF /Penland on my bud's Prairie and used the jets supplied w/ the pipe. It didn't run that great. A jet kit later and it starts/idles/runs with no choke needed. The kit cleaned up everything from idle to WFO.

 

Thanks alot. I may do that soon. I looked at a king today but I believe that I will stay with the Vinson. I like the 5 speed alot. I bet with the mods it will wake the 500 quite a bit.
