Put an exhaust on with a good air filter and rejet it. Maybe change the gearing around too.

I agree what they said. Might also check into getting your frame gussited. check out my profile Pic,s That was also an 05 Z400. Don't know what kind of riding you do. but the front of frame don't handle hard impact well. P.S. Bing are you referring to no Quad Mark? He has had A few good comment's. Key word few.

nope,,,i was referring to me

If he were doing a lot of crazy MX or spending a lot of time in the air,,,,those gussets might come in handy

For the type of trail riding we do around here,,,,I think it would pretty much be a waste of time.

Damn I hate this site sometimes, I just wrote an entire post but it didnt like a forbidded word. There is word that the magnesium clutch side coolant cover is being corroded because Zuki didnt use the right coolant in the system from the factory. The coolant is eating the magnesium and it is doing so at a scary rate. The bikes are suffering from this even in new and never ridden. Take it to the dealer and have them check it if it still under warranty. Most dealers are claiming they have never heard of this before but lots of peeps have had the problem. I can post a link later giving pictures of the damage being done. There are some "other" Z forums that have discussed this in great depth. The problem is only affecting the 05/06 models
