how much hp does the pipe itself add?

 

well prolly around 3-6 hp if you get different jets and air filter. im not sure tho

 

Most sites you can find on there somewhere about the dyno testing....dont look at the resale sites tho...look at the manufacturer's site....

Everything I've seen shows the CT as giving some of the best gains but also the loudest. I have a yoshimura full comp series pipe. It comes with the spark arrester/quit core and according to yoshimura keeps it at 93db which is legal in most places. Take the quiet core out and it sounds pretty cool. I love mine, it gained a lot throughout the rpm range but very noticeable low and mid gains. You can get the Yoshi full comp for less than $400 at Rocky Mountain ATV. I don't know about the cost on the CT.

I would suggest getting the HMF the dyno shows it gaining lots of power throughout low mid and top end and also without overreving the engine.
you can also get the quiet core insert to keep the db low.

hrmm i think i want a yoshi or a hmf or maybe a white bros.....

 

for a z400 i'd go either fmf titanium4 14 inch silencer, titaium mid-pipe, and the stainless high flow header, or go with the competition yoshimura pipe that gust runs...do yourself a favor, don't get anything else...
