Which one would you prefer for trail riding? We all know how good the Z is(Z400 with Yoshi 450 kit) but assuming everything is good on the R450 which would you rather have since they would end up costing about the same-around $7500? Here's a quick good and bad points for each.
Good- Yoshi 450-reverse,great trail machine, looks awesome
Quadracer 450-fuel injection,awesome suspension,frame strengthened
Bad-Yoshi 450-no fuel injection,weaker frame
Quadracer 450-no reverse, not totally sold on the looks, lower ground clearance
I wish Suzuki would make a fuel injected Z500 for under $6000 which would be the ultimate trail machine-(until they make a Z600-he he).

are you stuck on another Suzuki?
If you want what is possibly the best trail machine for '06, I would consider the Raptor 700. You get the narrow wheel base (compared to the Q-Racer 450), tons of power, reverse, and EFI.
I don't have, or ever had, a Yamaha product, but their offerings for '06 have me seriously looking.
P.S. I like the user name. I listen to The Common Man on KFAN occassionally.

I would have to agree totally with LEP7MM.....raptor 700 all the way dude...its gotta be the best out right now...and i think that they r best for trail riding...they turn good...have good handling...and they r lower and wider than the old raptor 660....go to yamaha man....they r doin good right now with their quads (not sayin suzuki isnt of course)

I would get LTR-450r, I heard from the yoshi builder of the east coast that there is about the same aount of power between the two. I asked him and he even suggested to me that i should probably sell the yoshi becuse is wont be as fast as the LTR-450r. But with the Ltr-450 you already have 100% reliability. Dont get me wrong i love my quad but when ever i go riding some where it always in the back of my mind that my bike could fail.
