Default 05 EIGER fuel filter and valves?

I have an 05 Eiger, and have heard alot about the fuel filter, so i just got a small inline filter from autozone meant for cars, is this ok or do i need one desighned for an atv. also have heard some about adjusting the valves does this need to be done after break in, or at all. I have 850 miles on mine. do i need to do this?

Your inline filter should be fine as lond as it doesn't slow the flow of fuel to the carb. I use an inline filter for a Briggs and Stratton engine on mine.
I first adjusted the valves on mine at 600 mi, they were within spec. I haven't checked them since (I need to before next season) and have over 2000 mi now.
