Default WE HAVE A BAD FILTER!!! AFTER I OPENED MY BIG MOUTH

Heres the scoop guys. We had a king quad in for service. I have been so upset at you guys bashing suzuki that i wanted to start checking our kings were selling. Well here is what we have found. There is a lip on the filter that creats a gap that allows a little dust to get in. Second we found the filter is allowing the dust to pass through the upper area. Reason Bad filter, also we think humidity degrades the filter at a much faster rate, so that would explain why we are getting thousands of miles on ours before the problem show itself and you guys are seeing it right away. We are getting the ball rolling, we will NOT let our customers buy a problem machine. Suzuki is contacting us on the 4th of January. We will get an answer and we will have a resolution to the problem. Sorry for my harsh words, but i believe that suzuki will correct any problem.TextText

If suzuki was a responsible company they'd fix the problems before they release the atv. Maybe that's the holdup on the new 450, maybe Gust is actually making them do a little quality control...

I'd laugh and say you deserve what you got, but no matter what their opinions online no one in our sport deserves to have a malfunctioning or sick machine. I hope zuki takes care of you and makes it right, just as I do for any other owners suffering from the same problems.

My KING has 288 miles on her and 90 hrs. I have posted some rather good pics of my Air Box and Butterfly.

Check them out on my bio page.

kdog, its good to see a dealer that goes out of his way to investigate a problem and get to the bottom of it. I think we're all glad to see that you had enough class to admit you were originally mistaken on the filter issue. thanks for letting us know what you found and also for putting pressure on Suzuki.

I bought my machine from Team Motorsports in Green Bay, WI and they inform their customers of the filter problem and / or install a foam. They told me the KQ is not to be trail ridden with the original paper filter.

The humidity thing makes a lot of sense. It is extremely humid and dusty here in the summer time. I also think the top portion of the filter is letting a majority of the dirt in, Maybe because thats closest to the snorkel hole.

Kdog, I too am glad to see there are dealers that will actually take a look at things. I know no one around here does. Maybe they are right and there have been no problems around here because there is very little humidity, but I dont appreciate the way they look at me like Im some idiot when I tell them about things like airfilters and reverses etc. Props to you and your dealership.

KDOG,

Thanks for understanding what we have been screaming about. The filter is a P.O.S. and Suzuki needs to stand up and take the blame. I am NOT going to spend 7K on a machine they build that self-distructs due to a manufacturing defect.

SUZUKI -- INITIATE THE RECALL and EXTEND OUR WARRANTIES !!! YOU OWE US THAT !!

I would like to give props to kdog33 for standing up and admitting that he might have been wrong at first most people wouldn't have do that today. We can really use your help to pressure Suzuki to get this problem properly taken care of. Thanks Man.
