i aint that rich, i'm on a fixed budget now. I'm getting a quad for my 17th birthday. I jus sold my KX 250 for some cash, so that'll help me too. but it's gotta be under 3500. then i still gotta pay shipping from somewhere, cuz i aint gonna find a nice quad around north eastern montana.

That bike looks really clean and is probably a good deal up to about $2300 shipped. Although the 85-86 LT's are lighter, the 91-92's are the best years. The front suspension is much better after 87 and the 91-92's have a no-link swingarm.

I have an '86 LT250R. Its bullet proof. I need to put new shocks on it. The OEM shocks are 20 years old! It is pretty light guys. Kick start, relatively small radiator, and little 2 stroke motor that bangs! It would make a nice TT or drag racer. I not to sure about MX on it. For rec riding its awesome.

Default lt250

Ihave to agree with most but dissagree with it aswell. The 87 lt250r was the fastest year. rEASON THE POWER VALVES CHANGED. Now i own 7 Lt250r's 86,87,89,91,92 and 2 lt500's. i have owned the banshee not a fan do to like most of yamaha's transmissions they suck and dont hold up to hard riding/raceing unless you spend BIG$$$$$$$$ to withstand a beating. But will say most 2 strokes need to be well maintained before and after EVERY RIDE. Honda is domanate but for this reason only THE NAME for 60yrs honda has had the best teams to not only build but to ride their on and off road toys. Now im gonna say this not looking to **** in anyones cheereos but i will race any stock banshee or honda 250r any day and will win why cause unlike honda and yamaha suzuki gives you then and now the ability to ajust your power port except the 85 and 86. From 87-92 on the lt's you can ajust your power port simple to set it for the track or terrain you are riding unlike honda,kx,yz. your power port is the key to performance you set it to when you need the power band to kick in. see the other compitition cant they are set but now cr has made it to where you can ajust theirs but the RG valves on the cr is diffacult to ajust in feild unlike the suzukia phillip head screw drive and a twist sets it to your liking.
