Default eiger fuse problem

My 05 eiger starts, runs till hot, then blows 10 amp IGN fuse and dies. I put 12 volts to the cooling fan and it comes on,so thats ok. Is it the fan switch or sensor next to it? How do I check? HELP.

Maybe you have a wire that is loose and rubbing on something that gets hot (exhaust, etc). Then, when it is hot, the insulation on the wire melts a little, thus shorting it out to ground. When it cools, the insulation contracts back to eliminate the short. I had a similar problem with the main positive starting lead on my vinson where it rubbed on the frame and eventually wore through the insulation. A zip tie or two fixed it.

Default eiger fuse problem

I had the same problem with the 10 amp IGN fuse blowing on my 05 Eiger. I traced it back to the sensor for the foot brake. When I disconnected the brake sensor, the fuse hasn't blown since.

Problem found with 12v tester.I hooked the lead to the load side of the IGN fuse block and started wiggling wires. problem showed up in the heat light indicator bulb. The metal terminals inside were touching ,At the same time ,the fan switchisnt working so .....engine overheats....heat indicator light comes on......blows fuse Riding in Pa this Sat.
