Hey guys after reading about the stg 1 and 2 cams for the 230's and 250's I am eager to aquire one for myself but I am not sure really what this intails. Do I need to buy one and have it regrinded or do I send the stock one to get grinded? Also what would be an estimated price for it and what kind of difference does it make in performance? I am pretty well a novice as far as internal parts go and I am using my Suzuki as the ginea pig befor I go ahead and tear down my 400.

I belive you have your process reversed. Go ahead and tear up the 400. That way you will have learned very valuable lessons that can be used when working on the important machine.
