Ok, Atvman, or anyone else that knows anything about video stuff... I'm a video idiot. I'm trying to set my pc to record tv shows n that, so I bought 2 - 1 TB hardrives and have a tv capture card. Anyway, I was wondering what codec I should use? Divx is probably the best. So, what settings do what in that thing? Anybody familar with divx?
So far I got a pretty nice video recording using 4000kbps encoding rate, single pass, slowest performance/quality, 30fps, and 640 x 480 size. No audio compression. The file turns out to be 1 meg for every 2 seconds of recording. So, that works out to be 23 days worth of recording time on each drive. I guess that's good, lol.
Anyone have any tips, pointers, help?

Alright guys, I just updated the website with all those new specs (sorry they aren't in neat table form, the table making tool blows) lenny, thanks for those pics, I put the 230 magazine cover up in the new magazine section in the gallery!
You guys should try leaving some comments just to see how that works. I've put comment sections on the bottom of some pages.
Sometime when I have a lot more time, I'll start working on beefing up the gallery. That will take a bit longer.
