Sounds about right, but keep in mind the pilot will work without a needle. So, the pilot has to come first. Tune in the pilot, then the needle, then the main. Start out with a bigger main than you think you need in order to have plenty of gas to work with the needle.

I also wouldn't worry too much about plug color. It should be clean looking, but gas doesn't burn like it used to in the days of lead gas. Just start out rich and tune it down till it revs out nice and with a lot of power.

PILOT JETTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I reamed it a bit big, smokes at idle now and the screw is all the way in, but I can ride it at least! I'm going to order the next 2 sizes up and give them a shot. Mid range seems good with the clip one slot down, but it breaks up at high RPM. Pops and farts a bit, seems like its missing. To rich?

Could be rich or lean. Have to try both jets and see which is worse. Then you'll know which direction to go.

Glad you got it going.

Just light n crap.

Try a new plug, check wiring, check kill switch. If none of that, check the magneto. Probably not the ignition coil or cdi.

Yeah. Try a D6EA.

I need to do the same to my briggs n stratton pos engine that's burning oil now. I'm going thru a plug a day. I swear american workers are giving china a run to see who make make the crappiest ****! Making me think twice about buying a thundercat! Maybe I should wait for something from japan in 1000cc size. Needless to say, I'm a little irritated.

Not only that, but someone new doesn't make the connection that there are wiring diagrams and all kinds of info over there. They probably think pics of your quad n stuff.
