Hey Atvman got my album going. I'll go outside when or if the snow stops to get a pic of the 230s thats getting restored. Apparently my camera was set on ultra high res and the file size was too big. But i got it figured out.
Cool, I'll take a look later on tonight and start getting stuff setup for the Vault.

Looks like it! It seems he pissed off one of the forum "big wigs" by posting in this thread:

http://forums.atvconnection.com/truc...ld-market.html

Seems like a stretch to be banned for that. I'm sure he'll be back, he actually friended me on facebook so I can ask.

Hi folks i'm new here and found this site from The Vault.... Awesome site thank you atvman29. So heres my story I just bought a 86 LT230S a few days ago. The Jack A** thought it was a 2stroke and had been running mixed gas in it. From the research i have done this will kill the valves?? It plumes smoke petty bad. I have drained the tank and cleaned the carb. Also it is a nightmare to start so i start to think the valves again. Anyhow at this point I have decided to do a complete rebuild. I'm in the process of tearing it down now. (oh yeah I have no idea what i"m doing) so here's my first round of questions

1.) Any Idea how much to replace the valves??
2.) I cant find plastics for less than five hundred + shipping anywhere... anyone know where i can some cheap ones??
3.) is the frame the same as a 250r??
4.) Does anyone know if other damage can be done by this guy running mix gas in it??

Thanks to anyone that can help!! I'll try to post some pics tomorrow and along the way. I wasn't sure where to post this so if its in the wrong place I'm sorry and will be more than happy to move it.

Ok now lets see. Well plastics are kinda expensive no matter where you go. however i do have a set of white plastics that i no longer need. they are only cracked in 2 places. just click on my user name and on the right side of my profile you'll see my album titled "resoring my 230s." just private message me if youre interested in the plastics. and i will get back to you soon. as far as the valves go, i'm not sure, but a rebuild is a good idea.

a carb rebuild would also be a good idea.
