What's your 230 like again Bashr? If you're 230 is running fine, I wouldn't do it. I have a feeling its not going to be easy to find parts for an older mystery Ducatti motor.

It's just a mild moded 230 to my knowledge. What was done to it before I got it I can't tell you.... It had the UNI filter and DG pipe on it. Case does have signs of orange RTV, and it runs strong and has tons of power, revs like crazy. But I've never ridden a bone stock one to compare. I did a carb and exhaust upgrade and tune.

What it's looking like now, is trading my 230 for a stock 250R. I think hes full of it on the engine, he didnt do the swap, and said its still a 2 stroke so I'm betting its just a stock 250R.

Worth it if the thing is in good shape?

Mine had 2 halogens mounted tothe front plastics. They had such a draw on the system they would barely glow when switched on. I mounted one of them in the stock location and its good now. I know someone on here switched to a HID light he got off ebay.

Hey guys I have a question about plastic swaps. Is it possible to fit/fabricate LT250r front or rear plastics onto the LT230?

I was told no as the 250 frame is way wider or something.

Nah, if you do some google image searches and look at the front ends of a 250R vs a 230S, you'll see that the frame itself is at least an inch wider on the 250R. We discovered this when we were trying to figure out if I could put 250R a-arms on the 230 to make it wider. However, the 250R arms aren't much wider, even though the vehicle is wider, due to the added width on the frame.

Sorry if this was a hard to read explanation....long day of studying for a final!!

In short, don't do it, its more than likely going to be a TON of work to make look good.
