should i have it bored to 434 and buy piston, or better to go with the kit. i think the kit runs $ 600 ish.

i'm prob. going with the 434 athena , have heard alot of good things about it.

mucky i heard the timing chains are really tight on the z's, i heard the springs are really stiff.and wear on the chains

i talked to the owner of a local atv shop , he said he could get mine bored(434) and he has the pistons, and save me about 200 or so , but then i have to pay for the labor. if i buy the kit ,i have a friend or two that i know can do it for me for nothing.

he said if he does it he's going to do something with th spring to loosen the chain so it doesn't rub so hard. he has a z that he races gnc type riding so he knows about the z's . he said he does it on all the ones he works on.

when you say bored are you putting a sleeve in it or having it resealed
the only reason I ask is its not cheap to have it sealed like it was before it was bored
and theres not to many places that do it if i'm thinking right
when mine was done it cost me an extra 150 and I had to wait almost 2 weeks while they sent it in
so find out what the cost is both ways.

not sure, he said with thw 434 it won't be sleeved, but he would have to send it off. he said all in all 3 weeks turn around time.
thats why i'm thinking order the kit and it suppose to just bolt on.or something like that, its never that simple iknow.
