Default Eiger "belt" Question

I've got a new 05 Eiger auto and I'm new to ATVing. So far this winter I've kept it in the garage and usually try to start / run the engine every other night. Does running it for 15 to 20 mins. (in neutral) cause any harm to the belts.

No harm to the belt, but running the new engine often at idle will sure do some.

Default Eiger "belt" Question

Howdy Weekend Warior,

I generally vary the engine running. Run at idle approx. 2 mins. then accelerate gradually for approx. 1 min. I repeat this for 15 to 20 mins. How does that sound?

Hi !! Not much better in my book, you may improved the lubrification of the engine a bit but in reality its better to be under load when you break in.
