Default LTZ250 - Gas in airbox...

So I pulled my air filter out today to clean it/oil it, and there was a little puddle of gas in the bottom of the airbox. Should I be alarmed, and what can I do to prevent this? The quad still runs great (last time I rode was Sunday) except for one time I was stopped and when I hit the throttle it died. Is this related?

Thanks

are you sure it was gas. cuz this happened to me (there was a puddle in the airbox) and it smelt like gas but it was just extra run off oil from the filter.

my friend has a bear-tracker and there was a mixture of gas and brake fluid and we thought it was oil but we saw that there was breathe tubes above the air box and so we found that it was brake fluid and gas, i dont know what might had caused the gas into your airbox but maybe thorrider is right

Im about 99% sure it was gas. At first I thought it was water and I was like ahh great but then I soaked it up with a rag and smelled it and it was gas. I don't ride wheelies as much as I used to but when I first got the bike I was always standing it up. A few times I would hit the grab bar and have to jump off and it would stall, so I was figuring that was probably what it was from. Thanks guys.
