has anyone put nitrous on a Z400
what does it take and roughly how much will it cost to do it.

i was going to get the boondockers about 4 months ago, talked myself out of it. didnt want to mess with the jetting. i have heard they work good. my buddy (fastfatboy) put it on his praire 700 and picked up a couple on lenths. the kits run about $600. his wasnt hard to put on, just got to do the jetting right,u have to run a little rich to compasate(?) for the nos so you'll be rich when your not using it. i was going to get that dail-jet, it should help with that.

 

so far i have both a yoshi stroker kit and an athena big bore makes a total of 475 cc's . with a custom CE 12.8:1 compression pistion. a full yoshi pipe. a pro flow intake, 39 mm kenith carb. 1mm over valves, stage two cams and a full port and polish. I think thats it. But if i think of anything else i'll let ya know.

so do you know what it will take to put nitrous on this Z400

 

how are you running a stage 2 cam, i looked on their web and they have 2 1st stage and only a stage 2 intake. do you run the stage 2 intake with the stage one exhaust? ive heard people say they have the stage 2 cam(s), i just bought a pair from a kid in oklahoma and he said stage 2 , i guess im just confused.thanks

 

Your right. its a stage two intake cam and a stage one exhaust. My bad, sould have specified.
Hot Cams does not make a stage two exhaust cam, i called and talked to one of the tech. guys.
So you probable bought the same thing.

 

This is what I was told from Hotcams. if you got them over 6 months ago both cams are stage 2
I talked to Jeff at hotcams last week about my cams and they only started making stage 1 around 6 months ago
and if I remember right I think MURDR had nos on his quad. email him and ask
