I had a blast today on the vinny. I put a jet kit and hmf pipe on and dang what a difference. Only bad thing is at full throttle its a little to loud for me. I ride with alot of people and dont want them to get where they dont want to ride with me because of the noise. I am thinking of selling the HMF pipe and putting the stock one back on. I will make up my mind soon but I know that I will lose some power.

 

Did you put the quiet core in the HMF? It will tone it down a good bit. I keep my allen wrench and core in my drybox and install when riding in noise restrictive areas.

 

Yes its in there. I am bad to modify things and maybe over done it a little. The pipe is not to loud but I need to be quieter

 

If you do go back to the factory pipe (with just the jet kit), let us know how it runs as compaired to stock.

I ran mine for a while with just the jet kit and K&N filter. They gave it some extra power, but nothing like the HMF when I put it on.

 

Man I really need to get the HMF and jets / filter for my vinnie. Ive heard from you all how much difference it makes. I love the bike now but a little more power to keep up better with my buddies on there 650-750's would be nice. The polaris 26" PXTs i put on pulled a little of my top end speed 2-3 MPH over the stock tires, so the mods should bring me back plus some.
I guess talking about it wont get em on any faster, but ive got my 2 wheeler in the shop getting some R&R, gonna cost a good penny, so gotta wait a "little" longer on the vinnie.

 

I will decide what to do with my pipe and let you know. Its been on one ride. It does make more power and you will keep up with the big boys with it. Now if the bigger quads are modded you will be a little behind. Yesterday mine took a 06 500 efi polaris pretty easy.
