i just bought an 06 5-speed manual only have 20 miles on it great bike but i hear a noise and dont know if it is normal or not? it sounds like when you put a piece of paper in a fan while it is running,i only hear this noise when i first excellerate or going up a hill then the noise goes away when you level the throttle out?

 

more info, is it coming from the motor or the rear gears? loud or soft

 

Or is it tires rubbing on the plastics?

 

Mine was doing that, turned out to be valve rattle. Does it sound like it comming out from under the gas tank?

Be sure to get your 200 mile service done on it. They adjusted my valves, and it fixed it for a while. But it came back. They adjusted them again. Fixed it for a while...but its back now. You can also try running 93 octane gas in it. That seemed to help out some for me. or even buy a bottle of octane boost. You'll have to read to figure out how much to put in though. I think one bottle is good for like 20 gallons and you only have about a 4 gallon tank or so.

its farely loud fluttering noise

 

i found my noise i took my seat off and gave it gas and heard the noise come from my air in take hose then i took the lid off the box and gave it gas again and it was louder. sounds like its air related when you increase the throttle? this explains why i heard it more when going up a hill cause your constantly on the gas? anything i can do or is this normal thanks a lot

 

you should have got an automatic??!!!
