Filter and headlight question...
#1
First question, I am aware that the Twin Air filter comes with a lid, filter, and cage for around $80. Does the Uni filter come with a similiar package? Second question, does anyone know of a "High Performance" bulb for the Auxiliary Light in the Instrument "Pod" on an 05 KingQuad. I found the main bulbs here: http://www.bc-offroad.com/atv_bulbs....3&model=S700KQ
Thanks in advance.

DLE88, Welcome to the forum. I check into the upper bulb a few weeks ago and have gotten no answer yer. I contacted the North American supplier for Raybrig, they have a bulb but it is only sold in Asia at this time. I was told that they would let me know when it was offered in the US market. I could not find any other source for a replacement bulb for the pod bulb. Have you put the PIAA bulbs in the lower lights?
The UNI is sold with the lid and cage, but I believe the Twin Air is a better choice and flows better. MY TWO CENTS.
Thanks
Dav

DavAsh, I have not yet purchased the PIAA bulbs, but I will soon. The Uni filter is a lot cheaper than the Twin Air. One would think that the Twin Air is automatically the better of the two. I have always been told you get what you pay for! I will probably go with the Twin Air, unless someone has hard evidence of them both being nearly identical in flow and filtration, as well as performance. Do you have or know of any pics of the Uni with it's cage and lid? Thanks DavAsh for the help.
PS,
I have heard of people removing the snorkel on the air box. Is that the black ducting, visible when the seat is removed, located just aft of the filter housing? If so, what is the benefit of doing this? Thanks again. I sent you a PM regarding your Yoshi pipe.

DLE88! I have seen photos of the UNI and the cage that it comes with looks like a cheese grater. I have also heard that the Twion air holds up to cleaning better without dreaking down.
The rubber snorkle is like a 90 degree elbo in a water line. The bend creates resistance in flow, therefore slowing it down. Removing it gives the air a direct shot to the filter. If you remove the filter and place your hand inside the airbox as if you are trying to reach back under the seat you will feel the shorkle. Just give it a good pull and it will come out. If you are not happy with it out you can put it back in.
Thanks

No problem, I am glad I could help. Any more question just let me know. Have you looked at the NYROC forum? There are a lot of great guys over there and the happen to be King Quad owners to boot. Look in the King Quad section. If you can't find the Nyroc site PM me for the address.
Thanks
David
