hi im shopping around for a new utility, and it's a toss up between a Brute Force and a King Quad. is there anything i should know about them? Any problems they might have? and how is the Power compared to say a Grizzly 660? anything you guy's can tell me would be great. so far the best prices i got are $6,299 for an 05' leftover and $6,795 for an 06' i got a line on an 06' Brute force for $6,599 out the door.

Only thing needed immediately upon getting a King is a different air filter, UNI goes for about $20-$25. The Brute has it in the power department, but can't touch it in handling and just the overall performance of the machine. The power is quite a bit better over the Grizzly because obviously you have about a 35cc advantage, plus EFI. Comes from the factory ready for a winch, which is nice as far as little things go. There are TONS of threads here and on Nyroc's Forum (atv.dnsalias.com) that could help you out.

I absolutely love my KingQuad. There are some problems with it being that it is a first year model, but I haven't had any serious problems. The only thing I had was a very small amount of dust in the intake due to the poor stock paper filter. I have a Twin Air that should be arriving today so that is taken care of. They are all nice ute's. I chose the KingQuad because I am a bit of a Suzuki fan. I payed $6950 and some change for my 05 KQ , brand new, with a 7 foot aluminum folding ramp and 3 year warranty. I got a deal since they were trying to sell the last two 05's and make room for the 06's. Whatever you decide on, if you take well care of it, it will take care of you. David.

Would buy again today, more power, crisper throttle responce than a Grizz. I am not brand loyal but based on # of machines in the past it would make me a Honda man. It is the best overall out there (and I am including price in vs the Outlander 800).

Love mine, but I've not had many problems. I might have negative to say.. except that so far all I have to do is take it in for the recalls, and change the oil...
Rides great in everything I've dropped it in... mud, snow, sand, ice, water, rocks, trail, pavement to about 65mph.. it does it all well...

I would choose my King over the Outty if that helps even if they were the same price But the steering is a little stiff and the suspension is to mushy at times Also the clutch is not as smooth at slow speeds in the rocks or tuff stuff But the power is impressive I like a quad that can do everything good not just one thing great and the rest ok

4fitty did i understand you right, your KQ is a little stiff on the steering? I feel that my KQ is real lite in the steering and I'm looking for a steering stabilizer right now. March issues of Dirt Wheels did a build up on a 05 KQ turning it into a 750 along with a list of other mods, one of them being a steering stabilizer from Denton Racing $159. Other then that I love my King.

I love my king quad paid 6400.00 new but we purchased three at once may have helped. Also got 2500lb warn along with the deal. Have 750 miles on it. I have not had any major problems only the recalls. Now it seams as though I have to purchase a new air filter. Any one recomend an air filter?
