There is a very good chance I will be there with some friends on that Saturday. By then I should have my full yoshi system on. Let me know what marker you will be and vehicles you drive.

Do you have to remove the spark arrestor to get the most out of it because I wouldn't be hardly able to ride it anywhere with out the chance of starting a fire (or getting a ticket) since I mainly ride ditches (grass),woods, etc.. if I ever decide to get the R450. Would an aftermarket exhaust take care of that without removing the arrestor?

The alternative to removing the spark arrestor is the Yoshimura slip-on exhaust or full-exhaust. Yoshimura claims this mod with cherry bomb and lid removed will add a 30% increase in HP. I believe it.

I just got my 450 last week and it is bad ***! Hey Calzookie, what is a cherry bomb? I know it is a car pipe but for a quad? So you do not ride with your air box lid on? Are you running the stock filter? When you put the full yosh on did you have to jet it? thanks for the help
K.

My full Yoshi system is going on next wednesday, as they have been back ordered (Was supposed to be a week ago). The Cherry Bomb is a "Fuel bypass relay that re-maps your fuel delivery for track racing. If you run racing fuel, the Cherry Bomb will really do its job. It's really a programmer for the EFI. I connected it to a wire harness over the front right tire. There is a female plug with a cover on it waiting for this upgrade. It took me 2 minutes. Take the lid off, arrestor out, and hold on to your ***. This quad is EFI, so no jetting needed. The computer continuously adjusts for altitude and fuel. That's the best thing about this beast. I ran U4 fuel with the mods, and it is substantially faster than stock. The best news, the Cherry Bomb was only $39 plus tax. I can't run a K&N as the parts department said it's not available yet, so I'm just running the stock airfilter. Good Luck!!

Cal thanks, so the cherry bomb I can get anywhere? I've looked for it. It sounds easy to hook up, so its good for the aftermarket pipe? Do you plan on using the K&N when it comes out? Which pipe does yosh make for it?

Any ATV dealer should be able to order the Cherry bomb, although my local dealer didn't know what it was, but called Yoshimura to get the part number. You can get a stainless full system or carbon fiber system that is supposed to be out in the last part of March. The carbon fiber system will run you about $800. The stainless system is available now and will run you about $550. As soon as I can get a hold of the K&N, I will run it with the system. Have fun.

calzookie - I'll be in Pismo on Friday afternoon till Sunday around noon. We usually park just past Steve's ATV rentals in a white 35' Rexall moho with a 24' FunRunner toy hauler attatched with yellow shop lights straped to the roofs for light at night. We'll be with a group of about 4-6 moho's/toyhaulers. l'll be parked with a 28' toyhauler with Gutten Golf Carts on the back door. He has a lifted white F250.

KneeDragger - if your local shop doesn't have the cherrybomb yet you can also pick it up on ebay. I have seen several out there... But as calzookie mentioned, you probably won't see a big difference until you use race fuel. My local dealer sells them for $42 otd. The biggest improvement I've seen thus far is removing the air box lid and spark arrestor/pea shooter from the pipe. Hugh difference with that alone. Due to the EFI there is no need to re-jet anything. I tried to put my K&N airfilter from my Z400 on the LTR450 and it almost fit but the bracket that holds the screw down to the air box is about 1/2 inch to long...The air inlet diameter looks to be the same. I may cut it this weekend to try it.

Hey s9195,
If I just change my hole pipe to aftermarket, would thaat be just as good as taking out my spark arrester or will the afermarket have one too? I was going to go with the Yosh and then get the Cherry Bomb. so your saying that would not matter much? Just trying to get a good set up...
Thanks
