Default lt250r,warrior,or 300ex????

i was just wondering if you guys could give me some advice on what i should get? im 13 years old and 5 foot 5. i live in oregon and would be going to the dunes alot. i like going fast and going off jumps and cruising around at the dunes. right now i have a kawisaki bayou 220. my dad is buying that from me and im trying to decide what to get. right now im thinking about getting a 86' lt250r,warrior,or 300ex. could you guys tell me which one would be good for me and why? thanks

Personally I wouldnt get the lt250. It would be between the warrior or 300ex. The warrior is faster top end than the 300ex. But ide say for best all around beginner "sport" bike the 300ex couldnt be beat. I owned one for about 6 years, and yea my buddies warrior would beat me top end, but wasnt as reliable, although it was close, he did have more probs than me, heck I never had any problems outside of general maintnence. The 300ex is an awesome bike, it rides well handles well, has good power and is a rock solid reliable ride. both the 300 and warrior are going to be less maintanence than the 250, if they are in good shape. even with all the big 400-450-500 sport quads out there now, I would still love to have another 300ex. with a couple mods youd be able to hang with the top end speed of the warior too. Only reason we found the 350 was faster was because it had 6 gears and the 300ex only 5. I would jump him outa the hole but he would catch and pass me with the 6th gear. If ya can , ride them both and see which one you like best. they are both good bikes. good luck

well i would have to go with the warrior because i think i bleed yamaha blue or something but i did have a honda for a long time.the warriors are not the fastest, baddest or maybe not even the most reliable...which in 5 years i've only had 2 major problems..... but in my book it's hard to beat a warrior.i have had 4 of them and had a blast on them all but i can't knock the 300ex just because honda makes a dang good bike.

your 13 dude the r is fast ( or mine is) i have never rode a stock one but i think its way to fast for you!@ im not dissing your skills or anything and the warrior is way to front end heavy for my taste!! so that leaves the reliable HONDA! so i think your should get that bike and when you get tired of it sell it and get a bigger one! or have you thought is a 400ex???? thats a great bike may be to fast though? umm the LT is way faster than the 400ex.... IMO the LT is a dunner and thats it... well i think the 300ex will suite you just fine

Not sure if this could be an option or not, but if you love Yamahas, why not go with the Raptor 350?

Alrite, I have 2 of the quads your looking at (1991 Lt250r and 2006 Raptor 350 which is similar to the Warrior). Now, if you're leaning to use a clutch for the first time I would recomend that you go with the Warrior simply because it has electric start and also has the advantage of reverse. If reverse is not important and you want speed I'd go with the Quadracer (although my Raptor can keep up with my Quadracer anyways) but, the Quadracer is a way better dunester. Now one thing about the Lt250, it's a kickstart and I dunno how cold it gets there but when it gets below 30 degrees here my Lt is a pain in the a$$ to start, and if you let it sit too long that can become a problem as well. Well I think I've said enough, good luck!

P.S
If you go with the Lt 250 look for one with a fresh motor, or one with very little use.
