Congrats! I finally got to see one today, and get this, the dealer is adding $1969 to the $7299 price for dealer set-up and prep!! Plus there's still tax and license fees to be paid!! This particular dealer has a giant showroom selling all four major brands plus Polaris. There were at least 30 employees milling around, but only 5 or 6 customers in the place, no wonder everything has a $500-$2000 mark-up. It's a wonder that Fun Bike Center in San Diego sells anything. It was nice o be able to see the LTR right next to the Honda and Yamaha 450s, I've always been a big Honda fan, with Yamaha being my second fav. IMO the LTR visually takes it to another level with its wide stance front and rear, plus the rear swingarm and exhaust system. It simply looks a lot more substantial, sort of like comparing the 450R to the 400EX when it arrived. Yamaha and Honda are going to have to do something in response, unless the Zuk ends up being problematic.

what he means is the magnesium parts for the coolant system sometimes get weak and brake but i think that only happens when it's in a colder climate

He is talking about the magnesuim parts falling apart from the gavanic action. It will happen in any climate. There is a post in hear somewhere about this issue with pictures. I beleive it was the cover for the water pump. But do not quote me on that. Sounded like something you should address very soon.

i just got my corroded cover problem fixed. i would check to see if it corroded becasue i know some kfx400's were corroding on the showroom floor. Plus you need to order a bottle of EVANS COOLANT type NPG+R. if its not yet corroded and you switch to this coolant you will have no problems. I doubt its already corroded though so just flush your coolant and switch to evans. problem solved. by the way congrats on the new quad, thats gotta be one hell of a machine.
