why do you think you have to have resivoirs?? all they do is keep the oil cool for extended rides. 450R shocks fit, but i heard they are waaay too stiff and are too long for the LT's. 400ex shocks work really good, which is what im running. No they dont have resivoirs but they still work awesome. If you want resivoirs call Works and get a set up for the LT.

they feel really good. They are a little longer and make the front end sit up a tad high, but i think its well worth it. I got mine with black shockcovers for 75 bucks and they are not blown and in good condition. As of now i have it on the softest preload setting, and it works really good on trails. I was even hittin a few small jumps and it soaks them up very well. Im sure on the stiffest setting you could run extended arms and still be good if you were on a budget, even with a few jumps thrown in.

Ive measured the YFZ 450 front shocks there the same lenght as the LT250R's 87-92, but there is a snag, the bottom mount is to thick to fit in the lt mounts, im just guna mill it down and make it fit. I just bought a set off of ebay from an 05 for $100 bucks, smokin deal ill let ya know how i make out

ok, heres the scoop the top and bottom mounts are to thick the center bushing sticks out of the shock quit a ways on the top and bottom and the aluminum has to be milled on both sides too , you prolly could cut it down with a grinder but the right way to do it would be to mill it down, ya have to be carful around the top becasue the oil resivour is up in there, when i get time do do this after work ill let ya know how they ride
