Default Rubber snorkel removal

Hi Guys: I've read some posts on here and just joined the forums. I have a 2005 King Quad. I seen someone post here about removing the rubber snorkel from the airbox. How does it come out and can you do this without any other peformance modifications, will the stock EFI compensate for more air or do you need a power commander or something similar? Thanks, Wayne

I slung mine right when I got my king if you take your air filter out its in the very back stick your hand in and pull it out. I dont have and chips or anything but it wont be too much of an increase in air so you will be safe.

Thanks Yellow700King, I'll do the same. Any problems with more dirt getting into the filter though when you do this? I did get rid of the paper filter and put the Twin Air on.

The snorkle directs the air all to the bottom of the filter. If you remove the snorkle it lets the air get to more surface area on the filter.

What's the point if you can't feel the difference?

Outrage, read my reply and ask yourself your question again.
