Default 06 King Quad electrical problem????

I bought a brand new red king quad about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I have only put around 20 miles on it because i have nowhere to ride alot. I bought some aftermarket stuff friday night and was going to put it on toningt but the quad won't start. the kq has been setting in the garage for about a week, when I put it there its tarted fine. I mean I turn the key on and there is nothing. I hooked up a batery charger it won't charge. So I tryed to jump it off another quad it will only start with the rip cord (ha ha have you tride that yet) and you have to have it in the right spot or it will back fire. When i hit the start button it try's to turn over but not fast enough. Once i got it started it run bad. As soon as the cable were off it would run not even 1 min. then die. All the fuses good and machine is completly stock not even a winch yet. Any suggestion so i can ride it. Thanks...

It sounds like your battery is completely dead. A totally dead battery can be very difficult to take a charge. This could be why the battery charger did not help, as well as why it ran poorly when it did start. Remove the battery completely, and install the battery from the other quad. I bet that it starts and runs fine.

I would also suggest that you let the battery be charged by a battery charger not the bike. The bike charging system is desighned to maintain a battery not to charge them from dead. You may have a bad battery (it happens) and need to have the dealer replace it. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks

If that ground is loose or what you are calling bad. The battery is not being charged by the bike and any battery you put in will do the same. I would charge the battery tonight and fix (tighten) the ground, and try it in the morning. Then if it is fixed call and scream at the dealer for there overlook in assembly. Heck, I would call and scream at the dealer if you fix it or don't fix it, just for the fun of screaming at the dealer. LOL
Thanks
David

I experienced a similar circumstance with a nearly dead battery. The FI and ignition require 9-volts to operate, which makes the pull cord useless for starting a KQ with a dead battery. Recharged the battery and problem solved.
