Whats the best exhaust (full system) for an '05 z400? And best mods for it in general?

 

Yoshimura full exhaust, get hotcams, jet it and put an airfilter on it. It will fly.

Honestly, it's really just personal preference. There may be 1-2 HP difference in any aftermarket pipe.

The highest rated for HP now is the Pulsecharger. The Yosh is a great pipe as well.


Just make sure you buy a full exhaust and not just a slip on. If you buy just a slip on, chances are later you will wish you would've bought a full exhaust.

 

You might want to check out CT racings web site, they have some Dyno charts that you might be interested in.

 

Thanxz. I am getting different ideas from you guys so I will wait for some more replies. But I am going to look at all these pipes. Anyone know where I can go to like a pipe shootout or dyno sheets of pipes. THanks again. I am going to check out ct racing right know though.

The top 3, I would say, are Pulsecharger, CT, and the Yosh. But like I said, really they are only separated by a few HP

 

im buying a full yosh system, look at doug gust backed by yosh, he was beating the 450's on his z. it is true to say its personal preference tho, but with the results i've seen, plus i'm a yosh fan, i'm goin with the yosh. ct's site has dyno charts and awhile back dirt wheels did a pipe shoot out with the Z but the yosh system and pulsecharger both were not in it. i think the ct won it tho.

 

Right now I am thinking about the ct, Yosh, & the Pulse. What about the DR.D?

 

does anyone happen to know what the decibels are for the yoshi comp series full system -- i like things loud so i jus wonderin if it is or in that range -- thanx
