I was wounder what would be the best pipe for a 2005 Suzuki Z400. Beacuse I was thinking about the Alba pipe. Or do you know anyother good pipes for the suzuki and besides Yoshmura.

 

alba is a good pipe but it is loud. louder than the yoshi

 

ok well I have never heard one , but how about a Trinity pipe ?

thats what I have now. and its a little louder than yoshi. I have a full yoshi pipe on the shelf when I had my 440 kit
im happy with trinity so far, seems to give me the power I was looking for. it doesnt come with the silencer core but you can buy one
it around the same price as yoshi

 

what about a slip on? serisouly, how much more effective is the entire system?

 

I had the Alba pipe on my warrior and it was super super loud and not a good loud either....it did wake it up a bit but the quality was lacking. They have a diff pipe now and it looks ALLOT better than the old design. I now have a yoshimura on my ds650 and it is WAYYYY louder than the alba ever was but i do not have a spark arrestor or anything in the yoshi so thats prob why(also a 650).... What about a HMF system? ive heard good things about them on everything. Why not yoshimura...there quality is top notch and they do put out good power with good looks.

 

The new Alba pipes are great. They are louder than most, but they also have a quiet core available that will make the pipe meet most legal standards. The core only causes you to lose minimal horsepower. I would say that the pipe is a great value and even with the quiet core is probably less expensive than most.

 

I know the yoshmura pipes are moslty made foro the ltz but how about the bill blance pipes for HMF I know thier dma loud but do know hoe good they perform?

I heard the new ALBA pipe on an 05 400 with the wisper tip and it sounds great. I liked it so much that I will be installing one one my wifes 05 Z400 today.
