If you ride tough trails--yes. No one wants to make a sport 4x4. I used to be the lone sport quad rider that rode with utes. Despite probably being the best rider in the group I just could not go where they went and I do not mean mud. I was forced into a ute to go along with, it was fun leaving them in the dust on the majority on the trail but not so fun asking for a tow (or in most cases 4 guys manhandling the quad around) and alternate routes because I was 2wd in other places.

Polaris makes an awesome sport 4x4. The scrambler 500 is 4x4. Sweet ride. Best of both worlds. Its nice.

06 Yamaha Wolverine 450. Excellent Sport 4x4. I have the older wolverine 350 4x4 and it is a blast. good suspension for a few jumps also, But it is not a Z400 either. Best bet if you can afford it get both. . I'm thinking of getting a 06 Z400 in may.

You would be better with the new razor2's. They are an excellent tire in almost all conditions, Mud etc.
I had them on my banshee and I have nothing but good to say about that tire.

yeah get the razor tires, theyll will be geat on mud for your ltz400. My buddy has a 4x4 and its fun in the mud and all but i perefer my z400. It takes a lot of skill and speed to ride through mud and it makes it a real challenge. plus getting stuck is half the fun. Here in illinois we ride at the cliffs which is pretty much alwyas muddy and we love seeing what our sport quads can make it through.

You have to remember it is not a 4x4 by no means and it will get stuck. It's just the razor 2's are a great choice for that quad. Mudlites are for 4x4's imo. Have fun

The Wolverine is a Kodiak in Raptor plastic and the Scramblers are junk. So I am stuck with a KQ.
