lt250r engin ?????

Default lt250r engin ?????

ok,i got my lt250r engine apart and was just wonderin if the little rod that goes to the powervalve is suposed to move freely.

I don't know off the top of my head but if you have a manual it should tell you...

well i dont have a manual so id apreciate it if some1 could help me out here.

yes it will move freely but should have tension on it spring loaded tension from the other side of the jug that **** looking piece held dwn with 2 screws. thats the tensioner for it.

well it dosnt have tension.im putting it back together 2morrow and i neet to no how to tension it.

Default lt250r engin ?????

it is centrifugal force it move up and down freely the power valve has the spring tension . in the manual it will tell you how to set it . . Dont quote me but mine i think was put it in the cap on the spring then turn it to the lines that are mark 250. As the mortor revs it turns to raise port timing.

take out the 2 screws holding the the powervalve cap on left side of your jug,take out spring clean it and put back in making sure its in the slot of the power valve. isert screws do not tighten them yet. turn cap 360 degrees counter clockwise. tighten screws . your done. if you use search feature on forum u wont have to wait for an answer on alot of this stuff as its been asked before. good luck

well i already put it back together .can i still do it?and where is the powervalve cap if im sitting on the quad.

lol yes you have to have it back together first. its located directly opposite of the power valve glass window. on cylinder jug by your left knee.

well its runnin fine without doing it!it started 2nd kick.
