just bought a 04 yfz carb . has anyone put one on a z? if so how much modifying will it take? thank you.

 

I was told by my motor builder to use a CR 450 carb from a 02 - 03 honda for a Z. Older CR's won't work for Z's if they don't have the accelerator pump.

The YFZ's will work if they are newer carbs (04+), don't have that black plastic side cover on them (something to do with the Yama specific stuff) and are 40 mil FCR.
