Aright guys I have a problem with my 86 LT250R... I was running insome really shallow water maybe 2 inches tops but it was enough to splash up and make the motor wet.... Well when the water hit the motor it began to sputter and die I kept giving it gas and was able to get out of the water... since I was out in the middle of BFE i kept the bike runnning and rode it and opened her up some and the problem went away and the bike ran awesome... Now my question is what would cause this weird sputter... What is the water getting at causing this? I have had this happen a few times before and couldn't figure it out but it sucks having to avoid the H2O

 

well it could be water splashing up into the air box and making it through the filter.check if your air filter is well oiled,that will keep the water out.
