I have tried everthing like :
main jet from 122 to 128
slow jet from 38 to 45
checked float height
air from 2 to 3.5 turns
new supertrapp muffler
new belt
dalton clutch kit
did anyone ever fix the lag? what is the good combo to run for the altitude in pa.?
i am now back to the stock muffler....

Try this!
Buy a new spring fer the carb.
Clip about 1/3 off
put the bigger piece in the diaghram in place of original.
HANG ON!!!
OR, if ya want to skip the "buying" part, just pull out yer spring and clip er!
If this dont work then you can always put the stock spring back in or get a new one, (approx $10)

not yet, I spend all my free time on the Rincon right now. But I plan to as soon as my new bearings for the front wheels come in and I put er up on the table.
(I may try it today anyway, I'll let ya know,)

Does this mod help with the thumb throttle stiffness? Mine is stiff. I mean it sounds like a stupid question, logic would tell you cutting off 1/3 of the spring would reduce the pressure. Just wondering if the difference is noticeable in that respect

I noticed the lag on mine also. First, I made the snorkle inlet larger--no noticable difference.
Next, I punched out the muffler baffle with about a 1/2" hole--seemed to help some. Finally, I punched out the baffle as large as possible (anout 1")--major improvement, with no appreciable lag. I had a concern that it would be too loud, but i don't find the minor increase in sound objectional at all. Everything else is all at factory settings. The elevation here is 4500'.
Hope that helps.
