From what I read on here a cherry bomb and a pipe makes a world of differance. Also intake air filter and take the air filter lid off. But make sure you have the cherry bomb or the bike will run lean probably. I would also put a outerwear pre-filter on the air filter if I took the lid off.

The cherrybomb is the first thing you should along with removing the airbox lid. If you ride in a non regulated area take out the spark arrestor/silencer as well. This makes a hugh difference. Pipes do make a difference but don't go the cheap route, but the complete system otherwise you're not going to get the full potential out of the pipe.
Also, there are some parts from the Z's that fit the LTR's. I've used a set of Z nerf bars, along with Z's billet oil filter and starter covers. The lowering kits for the Z fronts will work if you get the ones that mount to the upper shock mount. The one's that mount to the lower shock mount won't work. The rear lowering kit is about 1inch narrower then the Z's so you have to go with the LTR one no matter what.
