Default Eiger question

I have an 06 Eiger. I love the machine and its perfect for what i do. Since day one there has been a wierd growling noise coming from the rear (especially under a load) and I was wondering if it could be a helix lineup issue? Any input would be great

Its' your rear gears...I belive that they are cut differently and that makes a growling sound.

It doesnt seem to be slowing it down or causing any trouble and the gear oil looks great, should I worry?

I've got an 05 auto but I can't say I've ever noticed the noise you described. I've never pulled any loads but pushed quite a bit of snow but didn't notice any odd sounds. I do love the machine though. Good luck with yours.

It's kind of a slight whine, sounds like reverse in a manual car.

Don't worry about it I was told one time that they had straight cut gears which caused the whine. I don't know if this is true but I don't worry about it.

The "whining" your refering too could very well be the belt drive if it is an auto. My vinnie (auto) and all ive ever seen make the whining noise, it mostly comes fron the auto systems in mine and the rest.
