Default Vinson Oil change

I have decided to change my own oil rather than paying the dealership to do this. I pulled out my folders where I keep everything and can't seem to find the owners manual. Can anyone tell me how much oil I need to put into the Vinsons? I have an 02 and an 03. Thanks for your help.

It will take close to 4 quarts. 3.8 is what the manual says.

Thanks. I found a site that said 5.7 quarts and that sounded like too much. I am going to use mobil one. I have never used syn. oil before but figure I should get on the band wagon.

Is your Vinson an auto or manual shift? Do not use Mobil-1 if it is a manual, it will make your auto clutch slip. I use the Amsoil that is specifically made for wet clutches. You can't use most synthetics because they have friction modifiers in them. And yes it does hold 3800 cc's, which is 3.8 qts. It's wrote right on or beside the dipstick.

It is an auto tranny. Is it OK to use it in the auto? Thanks for the heads up.
