LT160 rear brakes......junk?

The rear brake pads are held in place by a stationary pivot post. The other post that the shoes rest on is the one that moves the pad against the drum. Anyway this stationary post has come loose on three occasions. It looks like it had a bolt in it at one time, so I drilled it out and re-threaded it for a new one, this held for a few hours and now its loose again. Going to use thread locker or weld it in ln place this time. The pin is not shown as a seperate part from Suzuki and you would have to replace the entire rear hub just to replace this pin. Any one else have this problem before and how did you fix it for good.
