The 05 clutch covers were made of Magnesium and corroding bad, so they had to change back to aluminum to prevent the corrosion from happening.

Didn't the radiator caps do the same thing?

No issues with the radiator caps that I'm aware of. When my nephew brought the quads home from the service center, he stated that my son's Z400 was a few thousandths of an inch from corroding through and mine was completely blocked off. I'm just glad Suzuki Owned up to their mistake. I got a new aluminum clutch cover, oil change and they flushed the engine and put in new coolant.
